Efferon LPS - extracorporeal blood adsorber
Single-use therapeutic device for extracorporeal blood purification. Contains LPS-selective polymeric adsorbent beads.
Device is intended for extracorporeal purification of blood by adsorption of endogenous and exogenous toxic substances using a sterile cylinder filled with polymeric adsorbent.
Efferon LPS is a non-pyrogenic, gamma-sterilized, single-use device.
Extracorporeal blood purification adsorbent device Efferon LPS is a cylindrical column filled with spherical granules of LPS-selective polymeric adsorbent. It is used for direct hemoperfusion to selectively remove bacterial endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides) and excess of cytokines and inflammatory mediators.
Efferon LPS is used in resuscitation and intensive care units.
Indications for use
– Sepsis of verified or suspected gram-negative aetiology, including septic shock during infectious processes in the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory organs, excretory system, skin and soft tissues, angiogenic sepsis;
– Destructive diseases of internal organs leading to LPS translocation and endotoxemia: severe acute pancreatitis, peritonitis, antibiotic-associated colitis, pneumonia, meningitis;
– Any diseases and conditions occurring with acute mesenteric ischemia: mesenteric thrombosis, post resuscitation disease, visceral circulation disorders, postoperative period in vascular surgery, reperfusion syndrome post cardiac surgery.
