The kit targets 4 genes for nCoV (SARS-CoV-2) detection: orf1ab, E gene, N gene and RNase P as endogenous internal control. Highest sensitivity is achieved. 4.1 copies/rxn for N gene, 4.3 copies/rxn for orf1ab and 5.1 copies/rxn for E gene. Various sample types can be used such as nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs, saliva and sputum.
An internal control based on the detection of human endogenous nucleic acid sequence (RNase P) present in human genome has been employed in order to check RNA extraction, PCR inhibition and sampling or application errors.

Bosphore SARS-CoV-2 / Flu / RSV Panel Kit is a Real-Time PCR-based in vitro diagnostic medical device, IVD CE marked according to 98/79/EC Directive.
Bosphore SARS-CoV-2/Flu/RSV Panel Kit detects and discriminates 2019-nCoV / SARS-CoV-2 (which is later renamed officially as Severe acute respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 by WHO), RSV A&B and Influenza A&B in human respiratory samples including nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal swabs, sputum and saliva.
