VESALIUS QUANTUM SMART is an advanced mono and bipolar generator for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. It is one of the most complete devices among the electrosurgical products of the VESALIUS product range surgical devices.

It has one standard monopolar output and two different bipolar S.M.A.R.T. outputs that allow two accessories to be connected at the same time This new generator is also equipped with a contact quality monitoring system suitable to the modern split neutral electrodes to maximize safety in every OR.

All the devices from the VESALIUS product range are based on the unique and patented  QMR Technology.
QMR surgery devices are tools of excellence, that allow the surgeon to operate with greatest care and respect of biological structures and tissues, since they allow to cut and coagulate soft tissues at a temperature lower than 50 °C.

Differently from the more traditional Electro and Radiofrequency generators, that base their operating principle on a simple thermal energy transfer (heat generated by the flow of electric current), Quantum Molecular Resonance surgery units use a frequency spectrum that causes only a minimal thermal increase. The main component of energy transmitted to the tissue interacts directly at the molecular level, by breaking up molecular bonds in a non-thermal way. This effect is obtained thanks to the peculiar spectrum of frequencies transmitted by Vesalius generators, which are extremely high (ranging from 4 MHz to 16 MHz) and of values such as it is maximal the resonance effect induced on molecular bonds.

Q-Physio - tissue regeneration

Unlike the more traditional radiofrequency devices commonly used in Physiotherapy, the operating principle of Q-Physio is aimed on the tissue regeneration.
The therapeutic action of Q-Physio, reaching 20 cm depth, proceeds in two phases. During the first step, very fast, the therapy induces a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-oedema effect, which manifests itself with a considerable decrease in pain. During the second step, along with the therapeutic sessions and on the weeks following the end of the treatment cycle, the damaged tissue regenerates in a stable and definitive form.

In particular, Q-Physio, differently from classical radiofrequency, does not use a single frequency, but a wide spectrum of different frequencies, ranging between 4 MHz and 64 MHz.
Besides being much higher than the frequencies commonly used (typically around 0.5 MHz), it is very important that with Q-Physio, not one but more frequencies are transmitted simultaneously to the tissue. By using more frequencies, the ability to interact with the tissue increases enormously (since each frequency interacts slightly differently from one another and work in synergy), stimulating its regenerative capacities.

The aim pursued by the therapy, in fact, does not consist in inducing a repairing response on the injured tissue which would lead to scars, but in stimulating a real regeneration, that leads to a new tissue that has the same functions and characteristics as the original one.

The project to use the Quantum Molecular Resonance in Aesthetic Medicine through the development of Rexon-age, and now with its evolution, Rexon-age 2, arises from an intense scientific research, carried out both within the Company and in close collaboration with the Department of Physiology and Human Anatomy of the University of Padua.

Thanks to the fundamental contribution of University, it was possible to understand the principles of action underlying the cell stimulation promoted by Rexon-Age 2.

Unlike many devices on the market today, which only produce a simple heating of tissues due to the Joule effect, Rexon-Age 2 promotes cellular stimulation in a very peculiar way, while keeping the temperature low and therefore avoiding risks and side effects that its excessive increase could entail.

The very high-frequency electric fields with Molecular Quantum Resonance spectrum, stimulate the production from the fibroblasts of new collagen and elastin fibres; such proteins are the fundamental constituents of the extracellular matrix. The quantity of these proteins in the dermis determines the level of tone and elasticity.

As we age, the density of these proteins tends to steadily decrease (it is estimated that the reduction, in adulthood, is about 1% per year). From this derive the well-known signs of the process of skin ageing, such as the formation and deepening of wrinkles, cutaneous sagging, the reduction of elasticity and tone of the dermis.

Through the treatment with Rexon-Age 2, the skin is stimulated to increase the production of these important proteins constituting the supporting structure of our skin. This happens both through a stimulating action aimed on the fibroblasts to produce more proteins and through also the increase of fibroblast’s density, by acting on the adult stem cells which are located in the basal lamina.

The medical device REXONAGE 2, acting more on the surface, favours the regeneration of epithelial and muscular tissues damaged by ageing (increase and remodelling of collagen type 1, 2 and 3 and of elastin).

The QMR technology used on all Telea medical devices, is tested for biological safety with a study conducted on 28,000 genes that confirmed the effective regeneration and biological safety aimed at ensuring the absence of cellular damage in the patient.
