For Markus Wohlschlager it is the first time at MEDICA. For Gerlinger Industries GmbH, he distributes polyurethane films and copolymer films at booth E 01 in hall 7a. "It is the most important leading trade show for our company to make new contacts, but also to learn about new trends," he says.

For Jonathan Tseng, this is the first time he has been to Europe. So far, his colleague has only ever been able to tell him that you always see and learn something new at MEDICA. Now he can confirm this impression: "The trade fair is simply huge and you experience something new at every corner."

"The fact that we produce our disposable products such as gowns or packaging in compliance with the MDR gives us a market advantage, and you can feel it," reports Mehmet Akif Yiyen. In any case, he and his colleague Serpil Namalan are very satisfied. "We are super happy with our location here at the trade show, there is a lot going on and the weather is also so nice," Serpil is pleased.

Anastasios Salemis at the Medical Brace booth is also happy about having enough to do. For the student, it is the second time he is at MEDICA. He likes "interacting with all kinds of people and seeing what other exhibitors have to show." For the Greek company, however, things went very well on the first day. They felt they had broken the company's own record in terms of booth visitors.

"We are happy to be back here after a three-year pandemic absence," says Ahsan Shahid. The Business Development Manager is pleased with how things have gone so far at the DAUD JEE booth. For him, MEDICA is "full of opportunities and not only from a marketing point of view. Also, the atmosphere is very creative around here."

It is the internationality that Jana Lischka appreciates about MEDICA. That's why she and her company have been coming back every year for the past 15 years. "Here we acquire new customers, can show our products to a wide audience and meet new partners." However, the fact that Monday was arrival day was noticed at the Lischka GmbH stand. "We hope that we will be a little busier now."

Rebeca Rias (left) and her colleague can also confirm this. But today, Tuesday, is already noticeably busier. The two women have been coming to the fair for 7 years. "You meet so many potential customers or partners here. It's just worth being here."

"Today is still a bit quiet, but yesterday was a good day," says Filip Claes. The Business Development Manager is attending MEDICA for the third time and describes it as "Europe's largest medical technology trade fair. For us, this is the door into our export business. Every year, we meet our partners here, with whom we work throughout the coming year."

Together with colleagues from DocBox, Riley Normandin, Director of International Growth at AMD Global Telemedicine, will be at the HP booth in Hall 16 / D21-6 to present the joint eHealth solution. So far, the American is enthusiastic about the internationality. "You meet so many people here. Whether it's people with management positions or medical professionals - everyone is just here." That's why he's sure to be back next year.

Dave Price and Steven Foglietta are also in Düsseldorf for the first time and admire "the energy". For the Americans, “MEDICA is the entry into the European medical technology market” for their product. With their medical IoT platform, they are certainly striking a chord.
