MEDICA Health & Fitness Check
Hall 15, Stand 15C24
The MEDICA Health & Fitness Check at the MEDICA CONNECTED HEALTHCARE FORUM in Hall 15 will be presented by the MEDICA MEDICINE + SPORTS CONFERENCE together with its partner DGSP (German Association for Sports Medicine and Prevention). Vital parameters, physical fitness and health status are analyzed onsite and an initial medical recommendation will be given.
Professor Dr. Rüdiger Reer, Secretary General of the German Sports Medicine Association states "With our Health & Fitness Check, we would like to motivate not only the trade fair visitors, but also the companies in particular, to think about how they can benefit from the opportunities offered by the "Health & Fitness Check” and fit employees. In addition, it is also our concern that we motivate more people to exercise. Because movement is the best medicine."
Part of the Health & Fitness Check is a short questionnaire, the measurement of physical fitness parameters based on heart rate variability as well as other parameters such as blood pressure and pulse. For the analysis of the body composition, i.e. body water, body fat mass, and segmental muscle mass, the partner InBody will support the Health & Fitness Check. By bioelectrical impedance analysis of the body composition the participants get a comprehensive overview of their health status and a sound basis for the diagnosis and the compilation of health-improving measures. By regular follow-up check-ups, the effectiveness of therapies or preventive measures can be checked, controlled and improved. InBody delivers accurate and reliable values that are matching 98.7 percent to the gold standard DEXA.
For the measurement of heart rate analysis, Partner Polar, the leading provider of heart rate measuring devices and GPS sports watches, will be onsite. The Health & Fitness Check can be customized for companies.
